BRUCE BOLT Recharge Station

Experiential Marketing & Premium Brand Fabrication

Client:  BRUCE BOLT — performance batting gloves and athletic apparel

The Challenge

BRUCE BOLT wanted to reach sixty of the best high school baseball seniors in the country at the Perfect Game DICK'S All-American Classic, not with a logo on a banner, but with something the athletes would actually stop for.

The setting was the Player's Lounge at the DoubleTree by Hilton Philadelphia Center City, the room where those athletes spend their downtime between practices, meetings, and games. That meant the activation had to hold its own inside a hotel ballroom, live in a 10' x 10' footprint, run across three days and five separate service windows, and never once read as a trade show snack table.

Concept: BRUCE BOLT Recharge Station

B-Side designed the Bruce Bolt Recharge Station, a self-service performance trail mix bar built to feel like a modern wellness café, not a concession stand. Rather than recharging a phone, the station recharges the athlete.

Players moved through it in under a minute: pick up a branded takeaway pouch, build a personalized blend from a curated ingredient bar, and carry it into the rest of their week. Every design decision pointed at one idea, that a snack station could carry the same craftsmanship and premium positioning as the product BRUCE BOLT sells.

The Build

A modular footprint fabricated to break down, ship, and reassemble for repeat use across future tournaments, showcases, and camps.

The ingredient bar. Montana jars with acacia lids on a custom oak riser, individually scooped.  Granolas, roasted seeds, dried cherries, freeze-dried strawberries, coconut, protein crisps, and dark chocolate.

The brand anchor. A 10' double-sided backlit SEG display with dye-sub graphics, doubling as the activation's photo backdrop.

The details. A custom-printed table throw, eight gloves staged across the station as a playful nod to BRUCE BOLT, and custom food-safe gloves printed to mirror the real thing.

The takeaway. Premium branded stand-up pouches designed to travel, extending brand visibility every time an athlete carried one through the hotel.

Why It Worked

Premium, Not Promotional

Hospitality-grade materials and merchandising made the station read as an amenity athletes wanted to use, not a sponsor asset to walk past.

Built To Travel

Modular fabrication with replaceable graphics means BRUCE BOLT owns a reusable asset, not a one-event build.

Getting it Right

Food service inside a hotel ballroom for teenage athletes raises real operational stakes, and the plan was built around them.

One athlete on site had a known tree nut allergy while the station ran open bins of almonds and cashews. Sealed nut-free pouches were pre-filled and labeled before any open scooping began, tree-nut notice signage went up at the station entry, and every jar carried a contains / may-contain card.

Every fabricated element was engineered in advance to clear the ballroom doors and the hotel's service freight elevator. B-Side handled fabrication, sourcing, freight, install, on-site management across all five service windows, strike, and shipment of the display back to the client.

Designed To Be Shared

A backlit brand wall and a highly photogenic station turned every athlete's build into organic content.

The Takeaway

Brand activations that have to feel premium, operate safely in someone else's venue, and stand up to repeat deployment. If you need an experience designed from concept through strike — and built to run again we would love to talk.

Scale your next brand activation with strategy and substance.
